This marked an affair between MP John Profumo and Christine Keeler – a woman also thought to be having a relationship with an alleged soviet spy. Finally, the lady who proved to be too irresistible was of course Christine Keeler. Charlotte Spencer takes on this role. Her career highlight undoubtedly has to be her role in the massively popular Les Miserables.
